Please excuse this "odd" question. I have not been to Universal in over 11 years, so I know it has changed some. I have been looking through a guide book and the layout of both parks. It looks like US and IOA are two seperate areas. So.... how do you get from one park to the next? From the guide book it looks like they are not connected in any way.

I wasn't sure if you walk straight in to one park from the next, or if they are seperate.

Also, do many of you stay at Universal one day then do IOA the next? I will be buying the five day pass. Can you do a little of both parks in one day? Yes....I am clueless.

Thank you for any help!

They're completely seperate.
You exit one park, walk thru city walk, and go into the other park.
Go here, scroll down, and click on the maps (City Walk). That will give you an idea of how it's laid out.

I like to visit IOA first thing in the morning, then go over to USF for the movie rides in the afternoon, because most are indoors, with air conditioning.

With the five day pass you can go back and forth between the parks. We usally do that.

OK, now I understand. Two years ago we went to Disney and we went to City Walk to eat dinner. We saw everyone leaving the parks out of an entrance, not knowing what area it lead to.

Thank you for the help!!
