LAX or Long Beach and Alamo ?

Hi,
We are flying in from NY and can use LAX or Long Beach AP which one is closest to DL and is there an Alamo rental car located in that AP??

Long Beach is much closer than LAX. Plus, it is a small airport, so no long lines and such. I love it. And there is an Alamo car rental on site at LGB. It is literally about 50 feet from where you pick up your luggage, since the airport is so small.

Another vote here for Long Beach. It's such an easy airport. No crowds, no lines no waiting. Avoid LAX if you can. Plus as PP mentioned it's much closer to Anaheim.
I think JetBlue may have deals from JFK to LGB.

We're flying into LGB for the first time on March 13, and we're so looking forward to it. What makes this airport appealing is everything the PPs have said -- it's smaller and the car rentals are just there, not shuttles to take you to the lots like at LAX.

Only thing to consider is if you have a flight that comes in later in the night. The car rentals close at 10:30pm, one at 10pm. With our flight landing at 9:45pm, it cuts pretty close.

After years of using LAX we finally tried LGB. I am sold and hope to never have to fly into LAX again. It's so worth the little extra money we have to pay. Just not dealing with the hour freeway trip is worth it. I love love love LGB. We used Alamo in November and it was great.
