We stayed at the Courtyard LAX / El Segundo just last week. Very clean, comfortable bed and shuttle service to / from LAX.

I'm at the Sheraton Gateway LAX right now for a pre-cruise stay. I'm a bit biased because I'm platinum level in the Starwood Preferred Guest program, but I've found the shuttle service to be quite good and I love the club lounge.
