I remember it was kind of pricey to do laundry at the Disney resorts, and the soap wasn't cheap, either. I panicked when we were at CBR a few years ago and they only sold Tide. That particular brand makes me itch like crazy. My DH had to go out and find another brand for me, elswhere. I am thinking about taking some along this time. I also need to remember to bring quarters...lots of them. The dryers at the resort do not dry the first time, and have to go through twice (more $$$).

Just wondering.....how many bathing suits do you all take along for your kids? Do you wash them, or just hang them out to dry all week?

I take those laundry pellets along to Disney. Easier to transport than liquid or powder. There are different brands; you might even be able to find the pellets in your usual brand. Don't forget to pack dryer sheets, too.

We take one bathing suit per kid, and rinse them out and hang them in the bathroom to dry. But bathing suits don't take up much space, so maybe it would be a good idea to take more than one!

Detergent in tablets is great for travelling, but test it out at home first to make sure you don't have any skin issues with it.

I bring a little bottle of Woolite for swimsuits. A trick for drying swimsuits more quickly is to wring them out in a towel when you rinse them; roll the suit up in a double thickness of towel and wring the whole roll out as much as you can. (I also stomp on the roll while I dry my hair.) This gets a LOT of the water out and lets them dry much faster at room temp.

If you put clothes out on balcony furniture to dry, bring along some binder clips to hold them in place so that the wind doesn't blow them away. (Clothespins are usually too small to clip to the furniture securely.)

For the wash $2.00 and $2.00 to dry.. That is what we paid at ASMu. In October 2003...

Since we drive down, I always just grab my usual detergent out of the laundry room and stick it in the back of the van. And I like to share it with other guests - we use the dye/scent free stuff, and WDW didn't have that last time we were there. One poor woman was desperate for some unscented detergent, and I let her have some of mine. You'd think I had given her liquid gold, she was so happy!

I bring bleach as well, to handle hubby's smelly socks! And fabric softener sheets, and I've got to remember the stain stick this time...

We always bring at least two bathing suits per person. My girls are famous for leaving wet swimsuits in their towels, all rolled up in a ball, stinky and damp.
