Laundry????

I have read many tips/questions regarding doing laundry aboard the ship.
Okay now, I'm planning on this cruise being my escape from reality. Please don't tell me I'm going to have to do laundry!!

I'm assuming this applies more to those on 7 day cruises, as I would think you wouldn't want to pack a weeks worth of clothing.
We're only on the 4 day. Will there still be a need for laundry?

I guess that depends on how many clothes you bring..... we did the 4 day and didn't even look for the laundry room, let alone use it.

The only times I have done laundry on board the 4 day was because we brought our own beach towels and it rained one day when were at the beach...there was no way those towels were going to dry on their own so I used the dryer onboard.

On the 7 day cruises, sometimes I will do laundy, but we seem to pack enough. On our last cruise I sat in something nasty at Carlos and Charlies one night and had to wash my white pants. Since I had to do a wash anyway, I through in some other whites as well.

But, no, you really don't need to do laundry on vacation. I would suggest bringing a stain stick to hold you over until you get home in case someone spills something on themselves.

Whew! Thanks, I was getting worried!
I was thinking of possibly needing the dryer for towels & bathing suits. But that is about it.

I feel much better now!

I only had to do laundry because they "misplaced" DS rolling backpack with everything except his formal dinner clothes in it! It was delivered to a suite and they apparently didn't notice it until day 5 of our 7 day cruise. I'm thinking it must be nice up there that they weren't tripping over an extra piece of luggage

It was probably in a spare bedroom that they weren't using!

Even on a 7-day cruise I wouldn't do laundry. I'm on vacation I pack enough clothes so I don't have to do laundry.
