Do the resorts have laundry soap for purchase? I'm trying to pack and my son still has some accidents and I don't really want to pack tons of clothes for him. I figured if he has accidents I can throw them in the laundry but I don't really want to bring the soap down myself.

Yes they sell the little boxes in the laundry room. I usually bring a little bottle from the dollar store in a Ziplock so I do not have to buy a bunch of the little boxes. Have fun!

Target sells the small liquid bottles of Tide. We didn't want to pay that much for the soap and fabric softner at the resort, so we just brought our own. I measured enough powdered Tide for a load and put it in a ziplock bag and put a bounce fabric softner sheet with it. All I had to do was grab a ziplock bag and take it down with me to the machines. I also had another ziplock with all the quarters I needed to do laundry. Make sure you bring a spot remover tide pen with you or shout wipes. My kids are always getting something that stains on them while at the parks, and if you can get some of the stain off before you wash the clothes it helps a lot.

FYI - we order a few cases of bottled water & snacks from gardengrocer & always get a small bottle of laundry detergent as well. It is much cheaper than the vending machines & is delivered to your room.:thumbsup2

I was going to say the same thing - it's a cute little bottle :) In the travel section with the travel size deodorant, tooth paste, etc.

You know, I just purchased that little bottle of Tide at Target yesterday. Our trip is only 2 weeks away so thought while I was there I would get it. We did it for our last trip and it worked out just fine. Only 97 cents at Target!!! Great deal and just the right size to bring along!!!:goodvibes

I have done this also, except my Tide Pen is in my bag for the then accidents, and the bigger ones I have the laundry stick.
I never had a problem transporting this way. I have a pop up hamper that has a pocket on the side for my needs. I have a netting laundry basket too if I need it.
I guess if you use powder you could scoop into the ziplock for a few loads too and put in a larger ziplock.

I would wonder if things are not ziped and a large amount like a brand new box of dryer sheets may set off a scanning detector at the airport.

Cool! I thought it was just about $1 or so, but couldn't remember. And does 4 loads, if I recall. Perfect! (even if I did bring 2 along just to be sure .... being the overpacker that I am). Only needed one. ;)
