Laundry?

I hate doing laundry on vacation!!! But we will be down there for two weeks. We are staying at All-Star Music. Does anyone know how much their laundry service is? Or the coin-operated machines? Or any places close where you can drop off? Any help would be appreciated.

Coin operated laundry facilities are located near both the Piano and Guitar pools. Coin operated washers are $2 per load. Dryers are $2 per load for 30 minutes. There is no option for any additional drying time except to insert another $2.00 for another 30 minutes. Detergents are available for purchase for $1.00 per load. Additionally, laundry bags are available in each room. By completing the attached laundry list and dropping the laundry off at the Guest Services desk by 8:30am, same day laundry/dry cleaning is available. This laundry service is offered 7 days a week, including holidays.

I would like to know how much it will cost to have the laundry dropped off at guest services per load. I think that may be the best way to go for us, I just need to put it in the budget. It will cost about $6.00 a load anyway.

If it is like a lot of hotels it will cost you that much just to do a pair of pants!!

I'm guessing a load will cost you about what you are paying for your room each night! Let us know if you find out...

Does anyone know if Boardwalk Inn has a coin-operated laundry facility? we're staying there next year for a while after our Disney Cruise and I'll need to do laundry.

All WDW resorts, including Swan/Dolphin have a laundry self-serve area.
They take quarters and there are change machines in the laundry area.
You can also buy detergent and fabic softener in the laundry area.

I would suggest doing you own. Find out the hours.
CR and Dolphin laundry was open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
WL was open 7 days a week from 7 am to 10 pm (strange for short hours).
I would do laundry at 7 am and be back in the room by 9 am - or do it late like 10pm - if the laundry is open late.
Pick one late or non-park day.

We once decided not to go to MGM till noon, b/c we would be there all evening with Fantasmic - so that was our laundry morning - 7 am to 9 am laundry and then pool for an hour and then MGM. Not a bad way to spend a day

I brought my own laundry detergent and Bounce sheets, packed three baggies each for a medium load, and 4 sheets. Then I put all that in another baggie just in case. It saved having to buy the same thing for a LOT more! The machines run 30 minutes each and it was enough time for drying our stuff as well...although my DH put the shorts on HIGH and it shrank my sons shorts so that he couldn't fit them any longer.

I packed enough clothing for a week and packed Tide "tablets" a small bottle of fabric softener and a small bottle of bleach and did laundry at the end of the 1st week. The laundry facilities are near the pool, so it gave the kids a chance to relax and swim while the laundry was running...
