We are going to be at the parks from October 1 to 8. We have a 4 and 2 year old. Now, do we really need to bring clothes for everyday and extras for destruction of normal clothes as happens when they are this young, or is a laundry service available? Has anyone tried anything else imaginative?

We are staying Polynesian LVC. Is there anything located in the Poly?

I believe all the WDW resorts have laundry facilities onsite, usually by the quiet pool. It's very pricey though, and can be crowded.

When my dh and I bring little ones with us we have the resort do the laundry. This way we don't need to pack so much and we're not doing the laundry ourselves. :rotfl2: If you choose to do your own laundry remember to bring a roll of quarters. Someone from this board said it cost about 5.00 per load.

They do have machines available but we tend not to use them. We will buy some of the cheaper outfits at Disney if we need extra cloths for some reason.

I would say bring basics that can be mixed and matched (khakis, solid colors) and use the laundry service as a back-up plan. When I've gone on cruises in the past I always bought one of those travel size bottles that are used for shampoo and brought a little woolite/laundry detergent "just in case."

With two young kids I would think it would be easy enough to use that method and handwash swimsuits, socks and underwear...maybe not your idea of vacation, but a suggestion ;)

FWIW, I also do a lot of photography/scrapbooking and the solid colors look much better in pictures anyhow.

Also, keep in mind you'll probably buy them a tshirt or two in Disney as well.
