Laundry when in a studio

We always stay in a 1 bedroom and do tons of laundry. We are running low on points this year and have to take the summer off or stay in a studio. We were thinking of trying a studio at BLT or BCV. How exactly is the laundry set up? Is it a laundry room near the pool like at regular resorts? Just curious if it would be inconvenient.

The laundry room at BCV is located on the fourth floor and rather small. It's not really feasible to do laundry and swim at the same time at BCV. By the time you get down to the pool, it's time to head back to the laundry room to move your clothes.

Not Sure where the laundry room at BLT is located.

Thanks. Can't decide if we should take the summer off (we do have a trip planned in Feb) or go in Aug and try a studio. Oh, the decisions!

We do laundry a great deal on our trips too, but not when we are in a studio. It's just not very convenient when the laundry facility is somewhere other than your room! I'd rather go and stay in studio than not go!

The BCV laundry is close if you just want to go to the quiet pool behind BCV. The wash cycle is about 40 - 50 minutes so you have some time.
There is only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the whole BCV complex, on the 4th floor. One year I got a studio a few doors down from it and it was very nice to be that close.

The BLT laundry is very convenient. It has 3 washers and 6 dryers. They take about 30 minutes each and the time was pretty accurate (other than the front load washer--that was about 40 minutes).

I did laundry a few times in August when we were there and every time, when I came back after 30 minutes, all my things were done. It was great as I didn't have to worry about just sitting there and was able to free things up in case someone was waiting.

Good luck!

We have only stayed in studios so far and have to do laundry, because we are in Florida for three weeks. I usually do my laundry late at night after we come back from the parks. I'm sure it is not as convenient as having it in your room, but it certainly wouldn't keep me from going on a trip!

We stay in studios most of the time, and pack enough clothes to NOT do laundry. We had to do laundry on our last trip because of the weather. (Very cold!)

The DVC Laundrymat was very nice, but it was a laundrymat. If you like Disney so that you can escape reality...a laundrymat will pull every bit of Disney magic out of you. JMHO.
