Laundry vent!

I'm feeling everyones pain because I am right there with you. My two dd's think their clean folded clothes belong on the bed, the dresser and the floor when you can no longer see the top of the dresser. (LOL-my dd just walked in here and said she couldn't find any socks-told her to look under the pants on her dresser-what timing!) I can't even count the number of times I have found clothes that were still folded in the dirty clothes because they were on the floor. My kids and DH too-think that when you take off clothes you just drop them whereever you may be standing and then walk off. Guess they think the clothes can walk to the utility room all by themselves. Drives me nuts!

Another laundry rant-nobody empties their pockets or turns their socks right side out and I have to stick my hands in their dirty stinky sweaty socks :crazy2:

My older dd (8 1/2) can't seem to remember to put her dirty clothes down the laundry chute. Her younger sister (age 5) is much better about remembering.

I finally told the older dd that I wasn't going to pick up her clothes anymore (especially since she often dumps her dirty clothes right by her door and then walks past them on the way to the bathroom where the chute is). If she doesn't remember to do it then the clothes will not be washed with the rest of the family's. I let her clothes sit on the floor. I might have to wait a day or two, but she has been putting the stuff down the chute. I have done some laundry without her stuff.

Another vent -- when she tries on something and decides she has outgrown it she puts it in the laundry pile. Why? It was clean when she took it out of her closet and it was on her body for a minute. Because she doesn't want to fold it and figure out where it should go.

How about when they take a shower, take out clean towels to dry clean bodies and then throw the tolwels on the floor because they are dirty?? You mean they cannot use the same towel twice? DH does that all the time and guess what I do? I hang it again when he goes to work, let it dry, fold it and put it back in the closet, then he thinks I washed it and put it away all the same day!

whenever you have overnight company do your guests know this,,and do they bring their own towels.

hmmmmm...

I guess I should take my family to dinner ...

I do my laundry.

wife does her laundry,

we taught, the kids how to do their laundry.

son didn't like doing laundry

daughter didn't want to mow the lawn or shovel snow, so I suggested they work out a deal..daughter now does her laundry and her brother's..and son does the lawn and snow shoveling,,he also must do these chores for my mother as well as at home...

simple solution....:smooth: :smooth:

I feel your pain about clean clothes in your laundry. The worse is my DD (15 next week) who feels the need to put not only clean clothes, but CLOTHES STILL ON THE HANGER in her hamper! So when I find this surprise in the wash and ask, "are you SURE this is jsut clean clothes"? she has the nerve to say, "DUH! It's, like, the dirty clothes hamper, mom." AAGG!!!

No, we don't get company , maybe my dd's friend to sleep over, but she doesn't shower here.
That's the good side of living far away from the family :teeth:
