Laundry room question for BWV studio stay

The laundry room for BWV has two HE machines and matching dryers. The vending machines last fall had regular, non-HE Tide packages, but that might have been updated by now. I used half of a regular package per load and it worked fine. The dryers were fairly fast at drying.

Useful tip: If you don't enjoy hanging around a laundry room, I recommend the SPEED WASH setting on these washers.

I can't remember if the laundry room is on the first or second floor (first, I think), but it's just to the right as you get off the elevator - on the left side of the hallway.

Sorry, I can't tell you anything about the BCV laundry.

There are 3 HE washers and 2 HE dryers on the first floor at BWV, just around the corner from the elevator. There is a timer on the washer that will tell you how many minutes remain, so you can leave and come back. I brought HE detergent because it works better and is better for the machines. On a survey I urged MS to make sure that HE detergent is available and that instructions (including "LEAVE THE DOORS OPEN ON THE MACHINES TO PREVENT MOLD") should be posted in the laundry room. I would be surprised if any of these suggestions has been implemented.

I used the laundry room in BWV on our stay in January. I did not have good luck with the dryers. Nor did anyone else that day. It may have just been a problem that has since been fixed. I started laundry at 5:30 in the morning. I had one load of laundry which I had in the dryer by 6:45am. The clothes were not dry until after 10am. The women using the other dry had worse luck then me. She had her clothes in before me and mine were dry before hers.

For us, we were just a little late to the parks. I would not have wanted to be leaving that day.

Sad. At the beginning of January the dryers were working fine. The clothes were so dry when coming out of the washers that the dryers worked very fast. I am hoping that improper use of the new machines (because instructions were not posted) is not causing them to malfunction.

The dryer work fine for me in January. I had to take of wet clothes down as the dryer in my villa konked out.

I guess there are 3 washers. I used 2, and there was another. I did laundry at 5:30 am to miss any crowds - and I probably wasn't really awake. And then, in my stupor, I was confronted with the "cockpit controls" on the washers....which are waaayyy too many buttons for me at that hour. It probably wasn't one of my brain's best moments. Coffee would likely have helped.
