ok, it is easier to take powdered detergent pre-measured and in little ziploc bags or just take one of those small concentrated liquid bottles?

I can't take powder - allergies problems.

but if you can go for it. I would use double ziplock bags. you don't want that stuff in your clothes.

Buy it when you get there. You are just asking for a disaster, unless you are driving and can keep it in your car.

We pre-measured the dry stuff and then put all of the little pre-measured bags in a bigger ziplock bag and packed it in our checked luggage. We didn't have a problem with the bags bursting or anything. I think its the safer way to go (rather then the liquid!)

I agree. I did not want to take any chances with Homeland Security. If you can pack in original container in checked luggage, maybe...You can get some pretty small boxes. But I usually buy it at a grocery stop from the towncar service. I'm not a ME fan, but that's a different story.
