We are spending 2 weeks on vacation with the middle 5 days at ASSp. We will have a condo with laundry right before we head to Disney, so we should be able to arrive with mostly clean clothes. Since we will need to cut down on luggage items in order to bring food/drink, I'm guessing we will need to do 4 days of laundry for 6 people at ASSp.

Because this will be mid-June (not exactly quiet time at Disney) I'm wondering how to get this chore in without it cutting into the fun. I like to do laundry while the kids swim, but that would be mid-day when I'm guessing others will have the same idea. Any times that any of you have gone that the laundry was not completely taken up? Are there restricted hours for laundry or is it 24/7?

You access the Laundry room with your room key, so its 24/7. I mostly do my laundry in the am usually around 6 or 7. Its very quiet then.:laundy:

I have to do laundry myself during our stays since we're there for approx. 2 weeks and I won't pack for 4 people for 2 weeks so I pack half and then do laundry.

I know, it's a chore you don't want to do when your on vacation, however, I find going around dinner time as the other poster indicated is not that bad. Going at that time can sometimes be rare for me because I hate cutting into our day so if I can't get it done then I find later at night, around 9:00.

But it really just depends on your stay because everyone is different. Do it on a nice day though and not a rainy day because I find that's when everyone decides to do it because they have nothing to do.

I have a family of 4 which means when we stay anywhere for more than 4 days its laundry time. I cannot stand the smell of dirty clothes in our room. When we stayed at WDW last year I found 11:00 pm was a great time to do laundry. It was great, the kids were asleep and DH was watching TV. I grabbed a coke to stay awake and did the laundry.

Yes, on occasion I have done the laundry at that hour after a long day at the park (are we crazy?) and found the room empty. Guess we're the only crazy ones:confused:

I have found that during busier times it's best to do laundry at AKL either very, very late at night or very early in the morning. Other than that, I've had to wait for washers and dryers. I've also had to wait at POFQ during busier times of the year.

When we go in August it's pretty crowded and I find either late at night at around 10:00 or 11:00, very early in the morning at around 5:30 or 6:00, I know that sounds crazy but I'm not a good sleeper and tend to wake up very early, or sometimes during dinner time. Never do it when it's raining because it seems that's the time alot of people do it too because they are stuck inside.
