We are making our first stay as owners after buying in last year, at the Riviera end of October and we have 2 studios booked hoping to be connected. We will need to use the laundry facilities are they located on each floor or is there an area where they are located? Just trying to figure out the logistics. Also we have 2 standard views booked- we kind of would like to be near the skyliner but would like a view of the fireworks where should we request? Thanks for any info. much appreciated.

Riviera studios do not connect to another studio.

If you want an Epcot fireworks view, you will want an upper floor, facing north.

If you want to be "near the Skyliner", you will want to be on a lower floor. Otherwise, any floor will do but you might want to request "close to elevator". Riviera has a compact footprint. The hallways are not very long and no matter what floor you are on, you're only an elevator ride away from everything.

For a standard view room that has a view of Epcot fireworks, I request upper floor, west wing. However, you have 2 studios so it is (probably) more important that they are close together so have them note on each reservation "traveling with [other reservation #]." As stated above, there's no such thing as 2 connecting studios at Riviera (or any DVC resort besides Polynesian).

The new VGF "resort studios" will have some connecting rooms. They are in the old Big Pine Key outer building and are former hotel rooms which have been converted to DVC.

There is only one laundry room at RIV- it’s on the 4th floor (east wing), which is on the opposite side from the Skyliner. The hotel isn’t huge, but when taking an elevator, then walking from the west wing to the east wing… it kinda feels eternal 🤪

They were nice facilities, and I was happy to have it as an option while staying in a tower studio, but we did less laundry than planned bc of the inconvenience factor 🙄

ETA- I would request high floor, center section (overlooking the port-cochere) for the fireworks view, and not as far from the east wing laundry… but if you actually want to overlook the Skyliner, you’d need to be in the west wing with a std view studio.
