Laundry at Swan

I'm a new visitor to the Swan very shortly and I wanted to know if they have a laundry room.
I know...who even wants to do this while on vacation but it's a must for me since we're then 10 nights and there are 4 of us. I really hate having to do it when I get home so I usually do it at least twice while we're there but I don't know the layout or whether they even have a laundry room.
Thanks

The Swan does not have a laundry room, but the Dolphin does. It was very clean, large and was not busy at the time I used it.

Just go across the covered walkway, in the door, turn toward the soda shop and keep following the hallway around til you get to it. It's near the game room, health club, camp Dolphin, hair salon and just beyond tubbi's. It's clean and pretty with cool posters from what looks to me like 50's ladies magazines or something.

Wow! Those directions were something. Does it only sound like a long walk?
Do you recall if there were many machines and dryers?
I ask because at the POLY the laundry room was horrible! A big resort like that and the laundry room had only 6 machines but 12 dryers which is not alot for that size resort. You couldn't go there at night because you'd never get your laundry done. I always woke up real early and did it then.
The laundry room was also never kept clean, at least not when I was in it. People would leave all their garbage on the floor which I thought was terrible. The small t.v. area was also a mess.

I guess it is a bit of a walk, (remember the Dolphin has 1509 rooms or something like that) but it's no more walking than anything else on vacation. Just like going to Tubbi's or the pool or the parks. You know, walking, walking, walking:earsgirl: (with your undies under your arm! :hyper: )

It's so pretty and clean and when you get there, there is a lot to do while it goes. I think there is a back to back row of maybe 5 or 6 so that's 10 or 12 going down the center of the room plus more on a wall and lots of dryers on another wall. Gosh, I've been in that room many times but I'm just not positive. It's great though. I think it's a frosted glass door with soap bubbles on it or something.

You'll love it and won't want to trade it for a tiny resort with little walks, pinky promiseprincess:

A helpful hint! When we were there 2 weeks ago the machines in the actual laundry room were always out of tokens.....but you can use the same tokens from the game room next door and those machines always work!

I love the Swan & Dolphin but I have to admit I think that going to the laundry room from the Swan is a huge pain. We lugged our laundry over to the Dolphin (and it is quite a trek) in the hot sun and we're pretty bummed to find a wait for machines. I had to wait almost a half hour then leave my laundry, walk back to the Swan and then walk back to the laundry to hope a dryer was open. Compared to the WDW resorts I found that to be very inconvenient. If laundry is a huge priority I would stay at the Dolphin - it is way more convenient.

Thanks so much for all the info everyone! You don't know how much this helps!
I guess from what I'm hearing I better get one of those laundry bags with wheels. I know that carrying laundry for 4 of us can be heavy.
Thanks for the tip about the tokens! Guess I'll make sure I have them ready before I head there.
What time did you have problems doing laundry? When I go I actually get up early before everyone else in the family just to do it because I've found in other resorts if you go really early in the morning it's usually not a problem.
I'm glad to hear they have plenty of washers and dryers though. They should with a hotel that big, but then I thought the same thing about the Poly...that's pretty big and to have only 6 machines (and that was when they were all working) isn't enough and for a deluxe hotel the laundry room could have been kept cleaner.

I found the walk from the Swan to the Dolphin to be much shorter than I imagined. I actually think it was less of a walk from our Swan room to Tubbi's than it was last year when we stayed on the East Wing of the Dolphin. There's also a shortcut if you turn left and follow the sidewalk right before you go into the front doors of the Dolphin, you can go in the first door and you'll be right next to Tubbi's.

Thanks so much Sherri for that shortcut help.
Of course I don't know the layout but when you say to turn left right at the doors to the Dolphin are they the only doors to go into from the walkway from the Swan? Just want to make sure I don't miss it.
Are there any signs on the outside to direct me?

I'm talking about turning left before you get to the main set of doors under the walkway. There are no signs, but you will follow that sidewalk around to the right, and I believe the Tubbi's door is the first door on the right. It's where the sidwalk makes a 90 degree turn. I hope this doesn't confuse you more! It might be easier to go to Tubbi's through the hotel first, and then you will see the door right across from it that leads to the outside. Once you know where the door is, it's super easy.

It does sound hard when you don't know the place but I'm sure once I'm there I'll find it easy. Thanks again!
Did you find it easier to do your laundry early in the morning so you could get a machine?
