laundry at POR

How are the laundry facilitlies at POR? How many laundry rooms are there? and Where are they located? Also, does anyone know how much they cost? We will be there during Easter, so I'm sure it will be busy!

There are laundry rooms by each quiet pool. There are several machines in each laundry room. I've never had a problem finding an empty one. The cost is $2 to wash & $2 to dry. Soap is $1. I usually budget $7 a load in case I need to dry them twice. When the weather is warm, I put a load in & go lay out at the quiet pool while they wash - it works out great!

Or better yet, bring soap from home. You can pick up tiny Tide bottles at Big Lots for .49.

We were there for moderate to low crowds recently, and we did laundry twice (so we had less to pack). I only saw someone else doing laundry once, so there was definitely no problem getting a machine. It helped that we did laundry at around 8-9 in the morning. At that time, the quiet pool was also pretty empty, and it was a nice way to start the day.
