Laundry Access for renters

Hi all, we have rented points at Kidani for the end of the month and we are so excited!!. I was looking at some posts regarding access with magic bands for renters and came across a statement saying that renters do not have access to laundry facilities. Can someone tell me if this is true. We have rented a villas and that will be a real bummer if that is true.

We rented at Kidani in Jan and used the laundry. Nobody checks to see if you're a member, rented from a member, or reserved straight from Disney. Free laundry is awesome!

While its true that nobody checks - there are Magic Band readers in some DVC laundry locations (e.g. the Poly). The question is whether renters bands will open them - I have no idea.

You may need the band to open the door, and as long as you are staying in a DVC unit, rented points, as an owner on points or on cash with CRO you have laundry available. You will need your own soap but no quarters even though the coin slots may be there, just push them, no cash needed.

Whomever said that is incorrect. Actually, at Kidani I'm not even certain they restrict the laundry room with MB's since the entire building is DVC. It's been awhile since I've done laundry there.

Before I bought DVC my gift from my best man (and DVC owner) was 2 weeks in Kidani for my honeymoon. We actually bought on that trip.

Anyways...used laundry no problem. Magicband worked for entry into game room too...no problems. So don't worry.

Not sure if you're staying in a studio (I assume yes since you're looking for laundry access), but 1+BR villas have an in-room washer and dryer so if you're in that size room you won't have to go anywhere.

I remember last year at POFQ I was able to open the door to the pool, no problem, no band needed. But I certainly couldn't get in the laundry room when I left my band in the room. I thought that was ironic.
