I need more clarification on a question I asked earlier.

If I am going to upgrade my 1 day pass to a 2 day pass (or from a 2 day to a 3 day, etc), what is the time frame for doing so? What is the latest tme we can add on a day?

THANKS!

First off-What a beautiful family!!!! MYW tickets can have days added to the ticket. If you have an expiring ticket, you must add the days within the 14th day from first use . This can be done at a Disney resort hotel or at guest relations.

I would take care of it right away if I were you. Here's what happened to us:

We decided about 2 months before our trip that we wanted to add another day. We changed our going home flight to 6:50pm, so we wanted to go to a park our last day. I kept on putting it off, knowing that I could just add it once we get to WDW. Well, on our last day, I sent dh downstairs to the conceirge to get that last day added, and the CM screwed everything up and wanted to charge us something like $20 extra for that day (instead of the couple of dollars it's supposed to be). Dh calls me at the room and I talk to CM asking him to double check, and is he sure he's right? Well, we end up NOT getting that extra day (it would have cost us like $80+ for the whole family). Once I get home I get on the DIS and ask everyone if the CM was wrong. Yep, he was wrong.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know if you can get these things taken care of BEFORE you even get to WDW, it's better.

My sister and I realized that we miscalculated and needed another day added to our tickets, we had one day left and were on our way to Epcot. So, we went up to the ticket window in Epcot and asked the woman if we could add one day to each ticket. She happily added the day on for us and to our surprise it only cost us something like $6.50 per ticket (this was September '05, so I don't remember the exact amount, but it was something along those lines.)

So as long as you're within the 15 days of your expiring ticket and you have 1 day left, you're fine to upgrade. I wouldn't try to upgrade after the ticket is empty though. :)

I am planning to do the same thing. I believe because you only have a 1-day ticket you must upgrade it before you use it. Otherwise your ticket is used up and they may not allow you to add days.

Okay, so clarify this for me--If I buy a 4 day MYW ticket that expires, I can add on one day within 14 days of my purchase? Do I have to make sure I still have one day left before I add on or doesn't that matter?

Help!

Yes, I think that in order to upgrade, you have to have at least 1 day left on your pass. That's what I've gotten so far. (For y parents, I'm going to get them a 2-day pass, and before they use their 2nd day, I'll figure out if they'd like a 3rd day or not... same thing for each day that goes by.

Are you saying 14 days after you actually make the purchase?

When I talked with CRO verifying rates He noted I am staying 7 nights with 6 day park hoppers. Told me I could add that day at anytime at WDW. I wouldnt leave myself with nothing for the last day though.
