Latest Segway Tour News?

I had heard that the Segway tours would soon be using the new Segways that maneuver through leaning. Then I heard that all tours were stopped due to a recall (of the old or models, I don't know). Does anyone know the latest information? What about for late April/early May 2007?

My husband took the tour last January and I'd love to arrange another one for him as long as they've got the newer model.

As far as I was aware, the recalls were only on specific units and was quickly fixed. There was a problem with the gyroscopes. I'm sure they were replaced and sent back to the owners. There's a golf course here in town that uses them in place of carts, and they got theirs back shortly after sending them in.

The Segway tour was canceled for only two days. My husband and I did the tour last Friday (9/29) and had a blast. Our trainer did mention the new models but I don't remember when he said they would be getting them.

He also mentioned that they are in the planning stages for a new Segway tour at Fort Wilderness but that it will be a couple of years before it will actually happen.

I took the tour this morning and asked the cm about it. He told me that it was a volunteer recall and that someone came down from the segway company/maker of them and worked on all of the Disney fleet. He did not mention anything about getting new ones. He said Disney had too many to try to do it themselves.
