Latest news about Disneyana 2002 Convention

I just got off the phone with the WDW Special Events Office... there will be a mailing sent out to registered Conventioneers around the end of April. The cast member I talked to said that in past years, we typically received mailings in January and February; but this year, "things are being done a bit differently"...hence the long silence regarding convention news. She was pretty firm that there will NOT be a final banquet at this year's convention--bummer! She kept repeating the "things being done a bit differently" phrase, and I got the impression that the contents of the mailing we will get in a couple weeks might also be subject to change. While I have gone to enough conventions to enjoy the consistency from year to year, I guess the theme for this year's event is "Who knows?"

I think the theme for this years Disneyana is:

"Things are being done differently this year"

Hey, maybe this will make a good caption for Nat's frame set.

I only hope that they don't cut it as much as they cut the Teddy Bear and Doll Convention. Please keep us advised of what is going on with the mailings--

Anyone wanna take bets that the mailing says "events are subject to change?"
