Any ideas for a summer hat? I think you need one in the hot Florida sun. I have a Tilley that I have used for a long time but thought there might be some newer designs or materials.

Duluth Trading Company has an excellent Booney hat. It has about 3" of brim. It has a mesh lining and a pretty nice sweatband inside. UPF and ventilated. I have been generally pleased with Duluth Trading Company's wearables and accessories. But, that being said, Tilley's absolutely rock and those Canucks sure know how to make high quality headgear.

I'm always buying "cute" hats and never wearing them!
I bought a cute minnie hat with a bill in gold and white and I've never worn it but it sure looks good on the shelf
I also make crocheted hats but dont wear them either.
Is there a "hats anonymous" anywhere????

I'm a Sunday Afternoons fan. My favorites are the lightweight hats made with SPF protection and with a neck flap.

So I looked at the hat options - but I need to find a hat that a 16 yr old teen boy will wear in the parks so he doesn't get sun stroke. And not a baseball cap. Not sure if the ones recommended are 'cool' enough that he'd wear them. :/ anyone have any other suggestions that their teenagers will wear?

As a teenage boy anything outside a baseball hat is not cool.
