We are scheduled to arrive at MCO at 9:50 PM and staying at CBR, so I figure it will be 10:30-11:00 by the time we get our luggage and get checked in. I figure CS would be our best option. What/where would be the best place to get food that late?

Thanks

If you aren't on the meal plan - personally I'd order a pizza for delivery from off site. Cheap and fast. If you're on the meal plan - I'm not sure what the hours are, but there is usually a grab and go section open later at most food courts.

Um - at the airport?

Call CSR directly and ask what time the CS and the grab-n-go at Old Port Royale closes. If it's before midnight, figure you are not going to make it. Do also ask about the on-site pizza delivery, but an off-site delivery service might be cheaper. But since you can't even order that until you have your room assignment, I think your best bet is still to grab something at the airport before you catch ME.

Thought about the airport and looked up restaurants there. Most shops showed to be closed at 9:00, but times not listed for restaurants. Never been through MCO late, but I figured most options there would be closed by 10:00 also.

May have to do the delivery to resort.

Honestly we end up ordering a pizza probably once every trip. Sometimes its kind of nice to have non-Disney food. Disney has a lot of great options, but Papa Johns hits the spot too.

The Disney pizza delivery is fairly expensive and I've had way more nasty pizza that route than good. Poly had a good pizza delivery once, I think that was in 2002 :rotfl2:

  1. You will only make it from MCO to WDW in 40 minutes if you are traveling without luggage and have a limo picking you up. Any other option will take you at least an hour, and possibly more.
  2. All the restaurants at MCO will be closed at the time of your arrival.
  3. There may be adequate grab and go at the resort shop.

Your best options:
  • Buy food at your point of departure and eat it on the plane.
  • If you have a rental car, eat somewhere off-property, near DTD, on your way from MCO to WDW.
  • Order pizza from off-site when you get to your room. There is at least one place that delivers until 3 AM.

We love the last flight in. in 2009 our flight landed about that time. By the time we got to CBR we were the last people to check in - lonely ride on the bus - no offer of luggage service (we had to ask) and had taken our own luggage due to the late flight. (No magical express delivery that late at night for luggage room delivery) No excitement at check-in although we were the only people in the lobby - no lines!

Land at 10 PM - get luggage and walk ALL the way across airport - 1 hour

Bus wait - 30-45 minutes (for them to load bus)

Bus drive - another 45 minutes.....depending on how many resorts they stop at, we were the 3rd stop.

Took us a while to get our garden grocer delivery - not many CMs on duty.

It was 1 AM when we finally got to our room.

Buy food at your departing airport and eat on the plane.

We flew in late twice and both times it was 1 AM before we got to our rooms.

Rent a car. No waiting for ME etc. You can be at Disney and at hotel in less than 45 minutes or so.. I think ALL the food courts are open until 11. I think the ones at POLY and GF are open 24 hours.. OR go to DTD- I think all the restaurants there are open until at least 11 too.. Or, you can go to CRossroads and I think Bahama Breeze is open until 11- maybe later. There is a good pizza place there as well called Flippers.. Or, there are a few McD's, Denny's, Waffle HOuses etc around that are open late or 24 hours too!

we also took a late flight one time and didn't get to our room until well after midnight - you have to figure about 2 hours after landing. They were knocking on our door at like 6am with our luggage too.

This time we are taking a slightly earlier evening flight so I'm hoping to be in our room by 10pm and hopefully we will be able to grab some food somewhere along the way!
