Later dinner times = longer waiting times?????

I'm just wondering if my intuition is right. We usually make dinner reservations at around 5:45-6:00 pm since we have 2 small children. We are going in October for 9 nights and have the ddp and my husband wants dinner reservations made at 6:30-7:00pm instead. I have a feeling that with later dinner reservations we will be waiting longer for our table. Am I right? We have reservations made at Chef Mickeys, Spoodles, LeCellier, Boma, Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, Concourse Steakhouse, Coral Reef and Kona Cafe. Thanks for any info, Linda

We ate at Cal Grill, Ohanas, and Shulas with reservations at 9.50, 9.20, and 8.00. We were seated 5 minutes early at each place, and every table was full.

We ending up having several late ADRs during our last visit and definitely had to wait longer than our check-in time more than once. With two small children, I think I'd stick with the earlier times just to be safe. Also, even if you get seated on time, it could still be 20 min. or so before they start serving your meal.

I'd go with the later times. With the exception of one place, our later ADR's proved to be better as far as how long we had to wait with our 2.5 year old. We had an ADR for 50's Prime Time at 6:30 and had an hour wait before being seated.
