I saw a familiar thread to this one about being early. But what happens if you show up late? I was just thinking what if it took a little longer on a ride than I thought or something and we showed up a few minutes late?

Your seating is held for fifteen minutes. Then if you show up later, they will seat you if they can but it'll be whenever they can. In other words, if you show up more than fifteen minutes late, they are as understanding as they can be but you do run the risk of not being seated either at all or for quite a while.

As the previous poster said they will hold it for 15 minutes. After that they may or may not try to acommodate you. I've seen people turned away from Tutto Italia, Le Cellier, and Mama Melrose who were late. Normally they will try to seat you though, but you may have a long wait.

They hold it for 15 mins, if you are late they try to accmodate you bUT not always. My BF was 30 mins late to Le Cellier over the summer, and was told "sorry but we can't fit you in at all ".

I heard they hold it 15 min's. Don't know if it's ture or not. I always try to get there 15 min'd ahead of time.

If the reservation is in MK as a penalty they walk you over to It's A Small World, chain you into a boat, and make you ride one time for each three minutes or fraction you were late. Then they will escort you back to the restaurant and you will be seated immediately.

DH was in WDW last when he was 4 going on 5. He doesn't remember much. BUT he remembers It's a Small World. So does his mom... and his dad... and his brother... and his sister.... they all *shudder* when they talk about it.....

We almost lost a princess breakfast because we got stuck on a ride for 1/2 hour and the standby line info was way off or we never would have cut it that close.

I got off and sprinted over to CRT and was told they only hold it for 15 minutes but they took pity on us and we waited until we were dead last to get in. Wasn't one of the best we've had but were grateful they let us in at all.

Just to be specific - they will hold the reservation for the fifteen minutes; but you do not have a table being held.

Not semantics. Disney dining reservations = extreme call-ahead seating. You call (now) and when you arrive and check in at the restaurant (in May) you are seated at the next available table for your party size at or after your reservation time.

Real-world reservations often = an actual table ready (or expected to be ready) for you at the agreed-upon reservation time.
