Late Summer/Early Fall Incentives

Anyone planning to purchase soon and isn't a D23 member but has Disney plus. Sign up to Disney plus perks. Currently you can get a free gold membership that incudes a digital membership card and access discount and events.

So $50 bucks saved by not having to buy a D23 membership. (but you do owe me a beer!)
Dang I wish I knew this two weeks ago!

I got this offer today. I’m trying to find where it says it’s free for a year. I thought that was what it was initially as well but then when I read the terms it says if you choose to upgrade to the D23 gold plan (I’m assuming that one is yearly as it’s an upgrade).. so to me it looks like only the first month is free and then you continue to pay the monthly fee as long as you have a Disney+ account. Why would you need to upgrade to the annual plan if an entire year is free with the gold monthly plan.

The digital membership card for my paid D23 Gold membership has been broken (according to them, only for "some people") for a few weeks. There is no fix in sight since they haven't identified the issue (because it's only for "some people"). They will refuse to send a duplicate physical card if you misplaced the original thinking it wasn't needed.

Apparently, some IT departments at Disney are even much worse than DVC.

mine worked and then upgraded phone and now doesnt. Luckily I have the card if needs be. But its a rubbish app

It is unclear what the requirements/differences of the Disney+ "free" D23 membership is compared to the normal gold D23... it does seem that the Disney+ version does not include the Gold gifts or lorcana/membership cards...

It seems to state that it's a free monthly membership as long as you have Disney+
from the D23 website-
The D23 Gold Monthly Plan will renew monthly so long as you remain an active Disney+ subscriber with an active Disney+ Perks membership you will retain your membership. You must be an active Disney+ subscriber to enroll in the D23 Gold Monthly Plan and remain an active Disney+ subscriber in order to access the D23 Gold Monthly Plan benefits.

I am also one of the lucky " green card" members.

My guide accepted a screenshot of the membership page, and the receipt email sent via email.

I believe the DVC discount came in the form of a "coupon book" mailed to members, is that correct?

It is unclear to me that the Disney+ members receive the coupon book, so I am uncertain what that means for the credit...

It is in the coupon book they send you, but I think it is more of just a page in there telling you about the offer. I didn't have to give it to my guide for the $500 off - I'm not sure my guide would have required anything from me. I did proactively send her a picture of my physical card, but per a few comments above, sounds like some guides are perfectly fine just accepting the screen shot of the membership page, which makes sense. Seems silly that some guides were requiring a picture of the physical card.
