Late spring 2025 incentives (April 29-July 14)

You'd only be paying an extra month and a half of dues if you did it today vs. the end of August. You can always ask your guide to write it up tomorrow, and then see if it gets better on Tuesday.

It is possible that the AP incentive continues. Or it might not.
Thought about that too. Still considering it since we have used and may continue to use points for our annual passes.

Also I believe the guide we had for our last direct purchase has left DVC since then. I stopped getting messages from her and I think I vaguely remember getting a message about it. So I would need to get a new guide that is very knowledgeable ASAP lol

My guide is very familiar with the delayed close and rewriting the contract. He is the guide for many here. He is virtual so wouldnt ever be able to meet him at WDW.

Dang I was hoping it would last into the next set of incentives like the D23 offer as the most likely time I would be tempted would be just before our Sept use year for our WDW points to get double points. 100 points level seems like it was the sweet spot this period, since the $1000 annual passholder and $500 d23 discount disproportionately affect the smaller point purchases. Considered adding 100 at Poly, but it's still $208 per point after those deals currently
Do you have the cash on hand and qualify for business cards?

Yes to both lol. Which is why I was hoping it would last into next period. Gives me time to open a regular card and business card and the wife a new card. I could still just do a deposit while I wait on cards too though
You could even finance through Disney and then pay off with the CC right away.

Today I got a letter (which was semi-personalized) on small cardstock from somebody in DVC management thanking me for talking to my guide [identifying him by name] about possibly adding on points. Thought it was kind of strange. I checked to see if there was a way to reach him directly (would like to give him my thoughts on the non-crackdown on renting), but nothing other than the number of my guide.

I was going to say for resale I have used 3rd party TS loan sites to buy time and then at closing switched to cash from a personal loan when I got better rates. Would do the same with Disney and then pay it off. Disney lets you charge the loan to a cc.

So I've got one day left to get my 100 Riviera points. I sent an email to my guide but he is out of town.

Hopefully tomorrow!
Not sure about e-mail, but I know in the past they honored us leaving a phone message with our guide for incentives that expire. Three different guides now have told us make sure any voice message is before midnight of the expiring day.

Did my check in for an add-on at Riv on Saturday - ready to go depending on incentives tomorrow! Yes I have a problem, but I got the wife on board and we can even up our points to 50/50 direct and resale! Probably our last purchase for the foreseeable future unless a great deal sweeps me away, will bring me to 620 points. 380 short of my goal but 320 more than my wife's goal - compromise!

My prediction is they just move around what kind of incentives you can use (chase visa instead of d23 etc) and it pretty much stays the same.

Not motivating enough for me to make any moves. Somebody start the new thread, its one of my favorites 😀
One of my favorite DISBoard traditions is people acting offended that the latest promos are similar to the previous promos. Get your popcorn ready.

Edit: made a meme

My use year is September, so if I don't buy with this incentive cycle or the next, I immediately lose 160 points...I don't see the new incentives being $3,200 points better than what they have now for 160 points at Riv, but would be happy to be wrong and pivot! The use year deadline really does drive buying decisions!

I’m not buying but I’m still excited to see what they produce and will for sure be following that new thread.
