Late spring 2025 incentives (April 29-July 14)

“Need” is a pretty high bar that could disqualify almost everything accept for basic food, shelter, and health care.
True. I need to break even in a reasonable timeframe though. Because I'm going to have a tough time justifying this to myself otherwise.

Each individual pass you get and save on comes out to around a $3.33 discount per point on a 150 point contract. ($500/150pts) So larger families or members that get passes every year can make it up pretty easily. So members with a lot of resale points that want to add on direct could make sense. I found that out once I had 660 points and was going multiple times and needed the pass instead of buying individual tickets. I also love having the pass so we can pop in and ride Cosmic Rewind or eat somewhere in a park on our "off" days.

So a family of 4 earns back or saves around $13.33 pp or so each year. So if I was a family of 4 or more and didn't have benefits already I would maybe have considered getting in now. In just 4 years that makes up over $50 per point which is around the delta between resale Poly and Direct poly with these extra incentives. In 10 years it would make up $133 per point which is the bulk of the cost of the contract.

The actual value will be less because of the time value of money tied up now. But also the cost of passes typically increases and so the dollar amount of "savings" each year may increase as well.

The fine print at the bottom explains what the special offer is.
Okay so D23 is the offer listed. That makes it a no deal for me then.
So wait, am I understanding this correctly that we can stack $1000 for Visa, $1000 for Annual Pass and $500 for D23 on minimum of 100 points?
If the Visa was additional I could make this make sense for us. I guess it's over. So it's D23 $500 and AP. Once the math is done its less pp for 100 points than 150

Yes, agree. We aren't Florida residents though. Sometimes I think it could be beneficial, but it's a long term payoff and I'm not sure it would be a good deal for us compared with alternatives..
They don't incentivize enough unfortunately

You wouldn't need it for the pass, true. But if you are hanging out in the parks a lot, getting access to lounges basically all the time would be nice. Easy snack and drinks. Very expensive snacks and drinks lol, but still nice.

I do wish they would have even more direct benefits added. Maybe even add crazy good benefits at tiered levels to get members to buy more than the 150 minimum. Without removing or moving any of the current benefits into higher tiers of course
I agree the lounges aren't enough to incentivize paying thousands of dollars more imo

And they can take the sorcerer pass option away at any time

I'm hearing mixed reviews of people liking it and not, i do hope i like it. More options are always good!
Thats me. I hated it. I bought 300 points. I dont hate it as much now. But I would always be paying cash on property if not DVC and VGC just doesnt have enough availability so it makes sense for me.

How's the vgc availability at 11 months? And the vdh? I'm glad it's growing on you!
