Not sure where to post this. I have been watching the weather for our trip on September 27th - October 1st. I know you shouldn't worry about something you can't do anything about, but I hate to walk around the rain. I know, what a sissy!! Any Floridians out there have any advice on what might be happening this weekend? I've checked the weather channel website and it doesn't look promising, but I think they always say thunderstorms in Orlando. The weathers been great the last couple of weeks. Just my luck. We'll get pounded. lol

We were in Disney this time last year. ( I beleive actually the 10th of Sept. for 4 nts. ) IT WAS NOT ONLY HOT,... IT WAS MISERABLY HUMID ! Yes, it rained . The typical rain for 20 or 30 minutes and then it would be even MORE HUMID! Don't let this discourage you though! Afterall, you are in the "happiest place on earth!" Anyway, just be prepared before you leave... bring at least a couple prs. of shoes/sandals and bring many socks (double them , one thin sock on and a thicker one over that. Also, buy spray deodorant to spray your feet, and each layer of sock. ) this is to ensure NO blisters.. or at least no serious ones. For this reason, I suggest you bring "moleskin" bandages, they can be bought at any Kmart/Walmart by the band-aids and such. Also, bring any kind of ointment for blisters, (neosporin) , these moleskin "patches" are in rectangle shapes or ovals, etc. they are taupe in color and feel kind of like felt on one side and are sticky on one side. You actually STICK them TO PRONE areas where you are likely to get blisters, (BETWEEN toes, you can almost count on and of course ON certain toes. ) I cannot stress enough the importance of this whole foot thing... because just think .. 90% of your trip is WALKING, if you are in pain (open blisters) , there goes your trip! Not to mention if u r bringing kids... they will not only hurt, they will want to be carried,... and they sure can whine! (I speak from experience) HA HA! ;) Anyway, this time of year is usually wet and hot, but to cheer u up... many hrs. of sunshine are always left in the day, and the best part.... SPARSE CROWDS!! YEAH!!:Pinkbounc Sorry so long, but I am somewhat of an expert on this Disney thing.. so have fun, take breaks, and take time to ENJOY THE WONDER OF DISNEY!! PS. As for the weather on those websites, this happened to us in May, website had dark clouds with thunderbolts through them for EVERY days we were to be there, and even the news said scattered storms, EVERY day.. when we got there and all days except for 1 hr. 1 day, it was BEAUTIFUL !! The "locals" said that "yes, the news ALWAYS says stormy, because of the time of year ", I guess to cover their butts. So DON'T WORRY!!!

DH, DS and I are headed to WL durint the same timeframe and I am curious too what to expect from the weather.

I'm in Tampa and our local weather said last night that there is a band of rain coming this week but it should clear out by the weekend. It sprinkled today for about a half hour and that's usually how these 'isolated storms' are. They last a short while and only cover a certain area. You can be at MK and get poured on then head to EPCOT and it's dry as a bone!! This actually happened to us before!

The chance of rain, meaning some rain, somewhere is 60% today, tomorrow and Thursday decreasing to 50% then finally 40% over the weekend. Early next week should be better. I guess that means bring or buy ponchos, just in case! HTH
