Hello. New here. Not new to WDW. I always go in February. Ive never been to WDW in Florida in September. Is it unbearably hot then? I found a great deal and wanted to see if it would be a good idea to go in September. I never vacation in hot months, but have a chance to go with some family members, and we are contemplating it. In February its PERFECT temperature, we wear loose fitting long sleeved shirts and pants. I'm afraid of the crowds and heat in September (20th to be exact)
also, on a different topic, curious as to if there's such a thing as a cheap deal to Disney's Vero Beach in the same time frame.

Welcome to the DIS, BBT (I like your name, and I so agree).

I have been to WDW twice at that time of the year, and it was hot. Not unbearably hot (I was there the end of June a few weeks ago, THAT was HOT!!!), but then again, I am sure it varies year to year. It is also hurricane system still in Sept. Here are averages and extremes for Sept.. The crowds would be down some, with the school kids and families back in school. I did not find it crowded either year.

My 'normal' and most desirable time for me is early December, right after Thanksgiving, low crowds, great weather, value rates, Christmas decorations and activities.

Again, welcome. :wave2: And yes, bring back Tapestries.

We've been several times in Sept. and it is hot, but not as hot as May has been the last couple of years. We've been lucky as far as hurricanes and tropical storms but you do take your chances in Sept. Luckily we live close enough that we can just drive home if if looks like one is coming!

 Welcome to the boards!

I love going in late September. It can be pretty warm, but no where near as bad as May like nowellsl said. The crowds are usually pretty low then too. You should not have long wait times. Seems like the big rides were maybe a 20-30 minute wait at the busiest times. There were many rides that we were able to walk right on.

The only down side that you probably do not experience in Feb. would be the showers. The good thing is that they do not last long at all.

You might want to check out www.mousesavers.com to see if they are any deals for Vero Beach during that time.

Thanks. That's something I never spotted before on the Weather Channel! I'll use that in the future!
Bring back Alien Encounters too!

Mousesavers is one of the reasons why I'm considering it!! Ive been getting their newsletter for a while now.
Thanks for the tip though.
