We have gone the last week of September.
Honestly it was just as hot and humid as our Summer trips. HIgh 80's, very humid and LOTS of rain.
We usually go in the summer and after checking out average temp charts and crowd calenders we were hoping for lower crowds and temps. Well, to us it felt just as hot and crowded as summer. We still had an amazing time just like we do in summer - we were probably just a bit surprised because of our expectations coming in.
I would say if you are experienced with summer Disney trips and enjoy them you will be fine.
Side note - I grew up in Western PA and currently live in Michigan. My 17 years in the military have taken me all over the world to some very hot places. From the humid summers near the Great Lakes to the deserts half way around the world - I have never been anywhere that compares to the heat and humidity of central Florida from around June 1st to October 1st.
