We are having breakfast at the Cape May Cafe on our upcoming trip and I'm a little nervous. The only time I could get was 11:20am... and Allears.net has it listed that the breakfast ends at 11:00.

By the time we get there, get seated and get our food... is it going to be at all hot or fresh? I'm mostly worried that we won't get enough time to spend with the characters, which is why we booked a character breakfast to begin with. Will the characters stick around until we've seen them or will they leave at the last seating?

Will we be rushed out of there?

ThankS!!:worship:

We had that exact ADR at Chef Mickey's and it was GREAT!!!

The meal served as a brunch and I didn't eat again until after Spectro Magic that night. There was plenty of fresh, hot food as well as excellent character interaction. The crowd thins as people leave to get to the parks. We'd book it again in a heart beat.

It is also late enough that if you wanted to duck into one of the parks at rope drop for a couple of hours you could do that then have your meal. :thumbsup2

we *love* late character buffet seating... yes, the food is still hot and delicious but even better is that we have found the characters to be much more attentive as the restaurant empties out to the patrons left behind... we've had some of our best character interaction at a late/last seating... our fave restaurant for this is donald's safari b'fast :)

I've done the last seating at Cape May a few times - the character interaction has been great and they continually keep filling the food - never had a problem. Have a great time!!

I have to tell you this was my concern as well last month when we were there on a Sunday morning for a 10:50 ADR. I was regretting making the ADR because we had been there a few times in the past year or 2 and it hasn't been all that good quite honestly. But, we were leaving that day and dd really wanted to do a character breakfast and that was the only ADR I could get.

Well, funny enough...what a pleasant surprise it ended up being. I had the same concerns regarding the food and being rushed, etc. I thought how much worse can it be than the last time we went when the food just didn't seem fresh and our ADRs were earlier then.

We were seated about 11:05 near the buffet and can I just say almost all of the food items were FULL and FRESH! DD who doesn't normally like the Mickey waffles because most of the time they're crispy on the outside LOVED them because they were soft and fresh. Everything had drastically improved since our prior visits and the characters even came around twice spaced out nicely. The food was so much better than it was in a long time. I wondered if it had to do with the later time?? Probably not, but regardless it was very good!

Keep in mind Donald has replaced Chip and/or Dale (most times it became to be just either Chip or Dale and not both-every now and then they'd both make an appearance) but it is still a nice relaxing experience. We did enjoy Chip and/or Dale when we've been there prior but the food was lacking then. But don't be concerned about the time. Theye were filling things up at 11:20 when we were there and the last ADR was at 11:00. So don't worry and just enjoy yourselves!:thumbsup2

we did the last seating at Cape May's breakfast one time and it was easily our favorite character meal!! We got SO much attention from the characters because we were practically the only ones still left in the restaurant. We also found the food to be hot, and there was plenty of it put out as well. I highly recommend it!

Oh, I'm feeling much better about this now!:dance3: I love characters and extra attention would be amazing.

Now... off to search for pictures!!

I was a bit worried too. We have an ADR for for 1045 at CRT in April. I did this on purpose so when the dining lines FINALLY open back up I can book BBB prior. (Just as so many others are waiting to do!) But I confess, I was worried that we would be rushed through our meal, and that maybe the princesses would be scarce. This is comforting to know. Thanks for posting!!!:goodvibes :flower3:

My kids are adults now, but when they were little we loved the late seating at character meals. The characters almost always spent tons of extra time with my kids and we really got extra special attention. I have wonderful pictures of ALL the characters together with my kids and they have wonderful special autograph books with not just character names, but sayings and little notes, etc. I will say that this was a number of years ago and I think that many things have changed since then, like many more people going to character meals, but I really don't think it will be a problem at all. They always keep the food coming and the characters seem to be much more relaxed at the end of a meal when there aren't as many people. I think you will have a great time!!

Enjoy the Magic!!
