Anyone been to 'Ohana at the last seating before it closes? We've got a 10:50 booked, and the girls REALLY want to meet Lilo and Stitch. I can move it earlier but would prefer not to (we're in MK until after midnight the night before and are switching resorts and will be out of the Poly that am). Will the characters still be around? I'm worried b/c of a post I read last night that said characters at the Donald Safari breakfast weren't guaranteed in the last 15 minutes of the meal.

Thanks in advance!

We are taking our chances as well. We have booked a late breakfast ADR for our last day at Ohana too :) I did move up our AK Tusker House breakfast though!

When r u going ?? We are going on 9/15 and they gave us a 11:20am ADR for breakfast, so its possible your not the last ADR

we booked our ADR for 10:50 on 11/1....not sure if it was the latest but that time worked perfect for our schedule :)

Except for that one experience, I've read numerous times that the last seating has GREAT character interaction. With the restaurant clearing out and no new customers being seated, the characters are free to spend extra time at the remaining tables. I hope the other poster was just there on a bad day because I've never heard of that happening and I hope it doesn't become the new standard.

We did a late seating at Ohana once - and never again. Although our seating was fairly late, we weren't seated until 40 minutes past our ADR time. Which means the characters were going off shift as we got sat. We got sat in a nearly empty restaurant (last people seated), they swung all the characters by our table quickly before we even got coffee - then they all left. I complained to the manager to only get told "sorry, they have to leave."

No parade through the restaurant for our kids - last one had happened by the time we got sat.

OK, make that 2 bad reports regarding last seatings. I'm sorry your kids didn't get the experience you paid for. :sad2:

I'm crossing last seating off my possible strategy list! So far we've only done first seatings so we can get in place for ropedrop and to avoid waiting to be seated. No need to shake up what works.

What time to you make your ressies for in order to be there for rope drop? Im trying to decide as my family is full of big breakfast eaters!

We ate there last year. Our ADR was for 11 a.m. which was last seating. We had a wonderful time. The characters all came around a min. of 3 times each. By the time we were finished, there were only about 3-4 other families left. If fact, it was such a nice way to end our trip that we are doing it again on our last day this trip.

We have 11:50 ADRs on 9/11. Our flight leaves at 5 p.m. so it'll be nice to have 'Ohana for lunch.

Also, they kept replenishing the food as often as we asked and we never felt rushed to leave.

Have a great time!

(P.S. I think they only did 1 parade while we were there, but that was fine. And we were seated right away by a window)

Thanks so much for this post! This is how we plan on finishing our trip :)

We had a 7:30 Ohana then hit the monorail around 8:30. I think by the time we went through security and tickets, we had maybe 5 minutes if that before the opening show. We weren't right up front, but I was able to maneuver my way up there by the time we got on the other side of the tunnel to go grab the fastpasses while dh and the kids took it slow and steady at the back of the crowd.

My DD and I had a 10:40 am ADR for Ohanas in July, and it was great!! We took a break in our trip, slept in, did the breakfast, then headed over to DTD for BBB, did some shopping, late lunch at House of Blues, and then went to Cirque du Soleil. What a great day!!!!

We were seated right away for breakfast, the bread and fruit came out, followed by the skillet of eggs, bacon, etc. The characters came around - I got a cute one of my DD and Stitch (her fave character), and they did do the parade around the restaurant! It was a nice, relaxing breakfast - service was great too!

We're definitely planning on a late breakfast at Ohanas on our next trip!!! Enjoy!!!!!

we have always purposely done the latest possible seating because we find we get *better* character interaction as the restaurant empties out and there are less guests to "share" with :)

We had 10:30 breakfast for O'hana and it was great! I was a little worried about the time but we got to see all the characters and the interaction was very good. My kids dd 7 and ds 6 liked O'hana better than Crystal Palace. The food was fresh and service was good and we never felt rushed at all.

I didnt know they serve Lunch ??

We have had both late and early ressie's here and have never had anything but wonderful service, hot food and great character interaction. They seem to keep track of what tables the characters have already been too and such and they really spend quite a bit of time per table.

I think the poster meant that a breakfast at 11.50am is more like 'lunch' to them as they may have already had an early breakfast (like at 7am/8am). Ohana only has breakfast and dinner.

Yep, that's what I meant. Since we'll be eating over the noon hour no matter what they call it, I call it lunch. :goodvibes

Ok good. I was a little worried. I have a 11:20am and I saw on there menu they were only opened il 11am. And I wanted breakfast and not a lunch:cheer2:
