Late Oct or Jersey week- advice please?

We were there Jersey Week the last 3 years and crowds weren't bad. I was a little worried the first year after reading so much here about "Jersey Week", but it was fine. Last year was a little busier because Election Day, Veterans Day and "Jersey Week" were all the same week, but still it was very manageable.
