Late night arrival

Asking for a friend, I've never used the DDP, so I wanted to confirm.

They have a package (room, tickets, dining plan) at the contemporary. The first night they aren't arriving until late at night (like 11:30pm). They still have to pay for the dining plan for that night correct? Unless they booked a room only split stay night and then started their package the next day?
