Just realized Trader Sam's doesn't open until 4pm. (Sad face)

Need a new plan for DDs (18) and I before we head to the party on 12/15. Planning to park at TTC so we want a fun late lunch at a monorail resort. Preferably something without a reservation so we can be flexible with our day.

For something at a monorail resort and not needing reservations, I'd probably go with Contempo Café or Captain Cook's.

You could also stop at the Grand and have lunch at Gasparlllas Grill. The patio seating is lovely, and you could explore the gorgeous lobby all gussied up for the Holidays.

I second the Gasparillas Grill at GF or the Contemporary food court. The cafe at GF sometimes does walk ins that is real nice. You could try as you walk past to the grill.

I think you'll probably be able to get a walk up around 2:30-3:00 to any of the monorail resort TS places. Choose one that appeals to you and head that way. My personal preference would probably be Grand Floridian Cafe.

Do you want TS or QS? If TS I agree with Kona but I am a sucker for the poly theming.

If you really just want QS I'd probably eat a normal lunch and then grab a qs at normal dinnertime in the park.

I booked a 2:00 brunch at Chef Mickey's :) then we can head over to the party and enter at 4:00!

Thanks for the suggestions. We are looking for lounge-type casual appetizer eating. It's just me and my 18 year old twins - probably our last trip for several years.

So bummed because I love the menu at Trader Sam's the best. We may try one of the other places at the Poly. Good to know that we can probably get a walk-up to TS around that time.

You are smart to eat outside the park before the party. As crowded as the QS places can be at dinner time on a normal park day, it will be doubling crowded at dinner time during the Party.

I vote for either Contempt Cafe (for the variety there as well as the cool cupcakes!), or Captain Cook's over at the Poly.

Kona Cafe at the Poly and The Wave at the Contemporary both have a lounge area. It looks like they're both open from lunch time. Perhaps one of those will suffice as a substitute for Trader's.
