My kids loved Universal this past spring break and want to go back. I am thinking about late July but wasn't sure about crowds. We will stay onsite so we'll go thru the faster line. Is it just way too hot? Thanks

We went to Universal in late July of 2002. I had a great time with FOTL access, but seriously, it was miserably hot and humid. We live in Oklahoma, so we are used to this type of heat. Still, it was bad. We walked a few times from PBH to the parks (about 15 -20 minutes) and I thought I was going to die. (I don't mean this arrogantly, but I am in pretty good shape for being 40, lol) Then again, anytime at Universal is going to be a blast, no matter what. Make sure to stay onsite and get FOTL so you can see more and rest at the hotel in the heat of the day.

It will be hot hot hot! :sunny: I was born and raised in Central FL and I can't take the heat. This summer is especially bad. Having said that however, since you are staying onsite I would recommend that you get to the parks early. We get there right before park opening and have always found it already open. First thing in the AM you are able to get on everything (probably won't even need your FOTL at that time). Only bad thing is no shows are going until after 11 or 12. When it get's too bad, take a breather back at the hotel, maybe a swim and head back to the parks when it starts to coll down a bit. It would be very hard to do a non-stop day at the parks with the heat the way it is. Regardless you will have fun, just maybe break it up a bit.
