Late January Events?

We were looking to make a sort of impromptu trip this month from Jan 24-28, but I've got a little sticker shock over hotel rooms during what I would consider a "value" season. The last two times we've gone, we've paid $68 a night for Anaheim Marriott Suites through lmtclub.com, but that hotel isn't available on lmtclub and is going for $249 per night. CRAZY! Every hotel seems to be priced way high compared to what we usually pay. I'm just wondering if maybe there's some major event going on during that time I don't know of, or if any of you might know why prices are so high right now.
