Late(ish) arrival at AKL, what to do

we will be arriving on 9/7. Our plane lands at 6:30 and are taking the Magical Express, so I assume we will get to the resort about 8. We will probably grab something to eat at Mara. Does anyone know if they still have the night vision goggles at AKL to view the animals? If they do, how late can you do this? If not, are there any suggestions for activities after we arrive? I assume the pool at Kidani will be open until 10 but that might be too late for the kids and we will be getting up early the next morning for a PPO ADR. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

First, I would suggest to collect your own luggage and take it with you on Magical Express. Yes, they will deliver it to your room, which is a wonderful benefit, but it probably would not come until 10 or 11PM. It sounds like you are excited to explore your resort, but if you think staying up until 10PM is too late for the kids, and you have a PPO ADR, so it is an early rise the next morning, you will want to have your luggage there, to unpack your outfits for the next early morning, and get ready for it.. The night vision is supposed to go until about 10, but you may have to wait in line, and some people take a loooooong time. (I couldn't believe how long some people took when they knew others were waiting.)

Have a great trip, and make some lifetime memories!

Thanks, the schedule will be a big help. They dance party looks like a good option.
It’s not that staying up until 10 is the problem. The kids will want to stay at the pool until it closes and then we will need to get them all back to the room, cleaned up and ready for the park the next morning. Getting our bags ourselves at the airport sounds like a good idea.

Is the repair work at the pool at Jambo House going to affect the activity schedule. I know they do a lot of stuff around the pool area like the movies? I would think it would have to.
