So many on Disboards just look for opportunites to jump on posters. This was another example. Although agreed that the repsonses would have been much different had the flight-change information been brought up in the original post.

Seriously??? Disney is under absolutely no obligation to put you on another bus if you show up late. They may call you a cab but you will be paying for it.

And being late by an hour or two is just foolhardy. You are given a pickup time of 3 hrs prior to your flight.

Nope, either plan on getting the bus you are supposed to be on or just book a car service for the time you want to leave.

Could you, perhaps, give me an example of someone's 'jumping on a poster' here? I saw nothing like that at all. Responses were very civil for the information given. I'm not really sure what answers you would have preferred to see, again, based on the original post.

I completely understand that the OP should have provided the full information which would have produced different responses, but quite honestly, I was really taken aback at how strongly worded your responses were.

Just one newbie's opinion. For the record, I'm a newbie in posting, I've browsed on and off for a few years.

Exactly. She did not call the op names. She didn't use sarcasm or otherwise belittle the op. she stated what would happen and that it was foolhardy to try and leave later than scheduled. Of course we didn't have the whole story then.

And to be honest if you thought that benign post was rude this may not be the place for you.

Well, I am sorry if anyone thought I was rude or condescending. That was certainly not my intent. My response was based on the info given me....period. Too many people believe they can be late for the bus and they will be accommodated. This board is all about giving good, concise info.
If people have been reading this particular board for very long, they should be able to see what we're all about here. I truly believe the OP understood why he/she got the responses that were given. Once we found out the exact situation, things were fine.

The Transportation Board is the one board where it is VITAL you share all the pertinent info. Not doing so can cause some major problems, as this thread shows!

And as someone who browses more than they posts, you should especially understand that some people just read looking for info, they don't post. Clarity is key for everyone. Getting stuff all mucked up when it comes to travel can cause some major headaches.

All I was trying to was show that there WAS someone else who might have been taken aback by the perceived tone of the responses.

I wasn't insulted, or did it make me believe that Disboards was a place for meanies.

Unfortunately, tone does not always come across clear one message boards and sometimes a gentle reminder that not every one will "hear" the tone that you intended.

Quite frankly, the one poster - goofy4tink - who I thought came across harsh was the one response to my post that was well thought out and polite and appreciated on my end.
