Late for a PS

Whats should you do if you are running late for a PS? Can you call and change the ressie? Will they hold the table for you? Sometimes I book a PS and almost forget till the last minute

To prevent forgetting a PS check your itinerary first thing in the AM. Block the time before that out so you get where you need to be on time. If you are running late and it is an early seating they will most likely be able to get you in, but you may have to wait a bit. If you are running more than 10-15 minutes late they will not hold your PS and you will need to go as stand by, if they can fit you in. Your best bet would be to call and see if they can reassign you another, later PS. If you know you won't make your PS that frees up the "anticipated table" for someone else when you call.

Will they hold the table for you?

Well since it is a PS and not a ressie they do not hold tables at all, they seat you at the next available for you party size. If you're late 9.99999 times out of 10 they will seat you. It might be a bit of a wait, but they will not turn you away. This is the beauty of the PS system. If you do not show up and it doesnt hurt them because they never had a table open, just waiting for you to show.

A couple of years ago we were almost 30 minutes late for our PS at Boma (I thought the PS was at 7:30 and it was actually at 7:00). We didn't have any problem getting seated.
