I will be arriving very late to MCO and staying at Hyatt, can I take the Magical Express to my OKW the following morning? I can pick up my luggage at MCO if that is an issue.

Thanks,
Kate

Yes you can, though I am not sure about the luggage. I am pretty sure you will have to pick it up or it would be delivered before you got there.

As an aside, we stayed at the MCO Hyatt two trips ago because we had a very early flight to go home. We loved it and my ds still talks about watching the planes land from the balcony in our room. Who knew.. spent all that money for Disney and I could have just taken him to the airport hotel :lmao:

If you are staying at any non-Disney hotel the first night (regardless of what time you arrive), you need to collect your bags at MCO. Do NOT put the DME tags on the bags.

It is POSSIBLE they may be collected with tags, but when they scan the barcode, they'll see you don't check in until the next day. Who knows what happens to the bags in that scenario.

Bell Services at the Hyatt will transfer your DME-tagged luggage to the collection area. Arrange it in advance.

We recently stayed there and requested a room with an indoor balcony, overlooking the airport terminal. We enjoyed standing out on our balcony watching all the activity below. I can see why your DS would prefer the runway view but people watching was fun too! Overall we thought it was a fun place to stay. As we had dinner in the airport and walked around a bit afterwards, we joked that we felt like the Tom Hanks' character in the movie "The Terminal" (except that we had a much nicer place to sleep and shower!)

We've stayed at the Hyatt MCO several times....twice when arriving on a later evening flight and also when departing on a very early morning flight (6:30 a.m. departure). We did not use Disney yellow bag tags, but, collected our own bags at Bag Claim and then took them with us on the ME bus the next morning. When we stayed at Hyatt the night before an early a.m. departure, we simply left our bags with Bell Services after check-out earlier in the day until we were ready to collect them that evening before boarding the ME bus back to MCO. I believe on that trip it was only DH and I so we only had carry ons and didn't need to go to the airline desk or outside skycap desk to check any bags early in the morning simply took the Hyatt elevator downstairs and got in the security line.
