We have a 9:20 pm ressie......that is the only one I could get for our party of 4......:banana::banana::banana:

My questions are: Is the food still OK (still lots of choices at the buffet) at that point in the evening?
How about the characters....is Minnie there? DD loves her:cloud9:
One more question.....do they have a full bar menu there also????TIA:love::flower3:

I don't remember the exact time, but we've had pretty late ADR's at Chef Mickey's before. The food is still great, and all the characters are still out! Don't know about the bar though.

Yes the food is still great even that late, and I'm pretty sure they have a full bar.

I just stayed there last November. My room was right above the restaurant (Celebrate Mickey Mouse! still rings through my head once an hour!) From what I observed...

The characters are there until the end

There is no bar for alcohol (there is a salad bar!!) (Also, just an FYI...no alcohol served at all anywhere in the Magic Kingdom)

The food is filled and fresh all the time

As for your time...Im not sure the age of your DD, but mine was a minute away from being 5 when we went. There was no night while we were there that she, or my 7 year old niece, made it past 7:30pm awake while we were there. If your DD is young and you already have a ressie that includes the characters, I would choose something else. She can see the characters at other meals and all day in the parks. The food there is not worth the late night out.

I agree with Dis1975 on this one...not worth the late night wait. I was extremely disappointed with the food...I ate there in Nov. 2000 and enjoyed it but this year it was horrible! My five year old liked the ice cream sundae bar but other than that it was very disappointing.. We saw all the characters at other places throughout the parks.

If your heart is really set on going though, I would put the WDW Dining # into your cell phone and call a couple times a day to see if anyone has cancelled their ressies, so maybe you can snag an earlier time...We did this with the Crystal Palace. We ate there the first night and loved it so much we just went up to the restuarant itself later in the week and asked if they had any dinner times and they had just had a cancellation for dinner the next night! It is worth a try!

We celebrated DD birthday at Chef Mickey's last month, and with 10 people the only dinner ADR we could get was after 8:30 p.m. I think it was the perfect time because the restaurant emptied out pretty well and we had alot of time with the characters. My nephew is only 2yo, stayed awake the whole time and had a blast! Mickey even came over and played with him for about 5 minutes or so (each character came over to our table at least 3 or 4 times).

I think that as long as DD gets a little rest and maybe an afternoon nap you will be just fine and enjoy your dinner. It's a nice place to eat!

Thanks for all your responses, DD4princess: is good to go this late if she takes a nap.....it is just so much easier to see all the characters in this type of setting rather than wait in the lines.....also it is EMH night at MK so I'm sure we will be taking advantage of that.

Again, does anyone know if there are alcoholic beverages at Chef Mickey's dinner, DH likes beer and I like wine.......TIA:flower3:
