Late Chef Mickey's for dinner - food still fresh ?

We moved our Chef Mickey's ADR to a later time - after an afternoon of DQ.
If we return to WL by 6 PM from DQ - we can get washed up and changed before heading over to the CR.

So we now have an 8:50 PM ADR.
We have teenagers - and with snacks at DQ @ DTD, I am sure they can last
till then for dinner.

Will the characters still be there ?

Can we still have our picture taken at the plate & spoon background ?

Is the food still fresh ?

We have been to Chef Mickey's before - just at an earlier time for dinner.
We have never been there past 8:30 PM.

Characters are still there, plate and fork picture still there, food continuously refreshed. We usually eat there late (need to get our park time in!) and have no problems whatsoever. It is somewhat an "off" time but everything is in full swing there until they close.

Also, they will not break the buffet until the last guest leaves. They might close down one side, but not both. Also, as crowds thin out they prepare smaller amounts in the kitchen to put out on the buffet, so the foos does not really have time to get stale.
