Late check out at WL ??

Our flight doesn't leave until 3:50pm (town car pick up at 2pm). We're checking out on a Sat.
Does anyone know how it works to do a late checkout (if it's even an option)? Any suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated!!

In July we were there and got a late check out. We had to call housekeeping (not the front desk) and were given a 1:00 PM check out. Check with the front desk, because you never know when the policy changes. We done this in the past and it's never been a problem.

You do not have to pay for another nights stay. The way it is set up is based on avalability, if the resort is sold out that night or not and if your housekeeper already has any late check outs. They will usually give you until 1pm at no charge if it is avalaible. Between 1pm and 3pm is 25% of your room rate, between 3pm and 5pm is 50% of your room rate and anything after 5pm is full charge. Again that is based on avalaiblity... and for the Lodge only... there are no late check outs at the Villas as DVC resorts do not offer them due to the size of the rooms and the time that it takes to clean them (except for extreme circumstances). Ask at check in, they will advise you how to go about it.

If they can not accomodate the late check out you can have your luggage stored with bell services until you are ready to leave. You are still able to use the amenites of the hotel and there are showers and changing rooms by the pool.

I was going to say this also. Since you won't know until last minute if you can get late check out, it's easier to prepare a bag for the day with a change of clothes for everyone and send the rest to bell services.
