Late check in BC

We don't arrive at the BC until Friday night around 8:30. We've always been early birds and are there right as we're usually able to check in. Are we going to have a harder time getting anything we've requested in our room requests fax because we're checking in so late?

Also, can anyone recommend a place to eat around BC that late at night? We were thinking Spoodles (we like it better than Flying Fish). Any other suggestions?

I'm bumping too since have this problem, only we'll be checking into AKL, probably around midnight. We've only checked in late once, but it was still only around 6pm, so we're worried about getting a bad room. We don't care as much about which savannah we're on since we've had rooms on both Arusha and Uzima already, but since I'll be about 20 weeks pregnant, we really want a convenient location, since I'll be doing so much walking inthe parks and probably won't want a hike to our room at night.
