Late check in and only 1 night stay advice please??

We arrive at MCO at around 8 pm on a Friday. We are staying with parents timeshare Saturday to Saturday. So we need a place for one short night.

What advice do you have for late check in and for only one night?

Are there hotels that will let you check in late; and lower the rate since we are not staying the whole time? Or resorts that allow late check out time?

What's your experience in this situation or a situation similar to this?

Never heard of them lowering prices for a late check in. Most people who stay in hotels for only 1 night don't check in until later in the evening. When we traveling its always busy with people checking in around 830- 900. As for a late check out you can request it if its normally 11 check out time they may give you until 100.

We checked in at a DTD hotel a few years back when we arrived around 1am. We had planned to stop earlier in the trip, but ended up driving straight through and I ran into a few hotels in the DTD area to ask prices...and no one offered a lower price. We only needed the one night as we were checking in at BLT later that morning.
