Late arrival??

Anyone arrived really late? Our plane gets in to MCO at 10:52pm. We are renting a car this time, but still don't think we will arrive at AKV until after midnight.

This is our first time at AKV and our first time arriving late. Anything I need to know?

Also, we are doing a split stay (4 nights at AKV and 6 nights at home at OKW). We're considering trying out the DDP just for the 4 nights so we don't have to move our groceries, etc. Does our first night "count" for DDP even if we arrive after midnight? Because of the late arrival, should I do online check-in, or will they save our room no matter what?

If you get the DDP, it will begin your first night; however, you have until midnight on the date that you check out to use the credits, so if you are moving to another resort, there should be no problem in your being there to still use the credits.

When I had a late arrival, I just called Member Services to have them note on my reservation that it would be a "late" arrival and there should be no problem. I would let them know I would be arriving late.

Since you are renting a car, you will be picking up your luggage at the airport. On arrival flights that late, Magical Express does not deliver until the next morning--instead of the usual 3 hour time period after hotel arrival.
