late arrival hotel options

For our May trip we will be arriving later in the day the day before our actual reservation at Beach Club and don't want to use points for that night. Any reccomendations on where to stay? Thinking either a value resort or would we be better off staying at either the Swan/Dolphin or a DTD hotel?

Are you flying in? If you stay at a value you can still use ME and Disney will transfer the luggage for you.

Swan/Dolphin you would need to have transportation from the airport. Not a big deal if you have a rental or driving.

We usually stay either offsite or at a value when we arrive late. We drive in and don't need magical express. We have never had a bad experience at a value btw. If you need ME and /or need Disney to move your luggage from one resort to the other then I would recommend a value.

If we are driving in, we Priceline a hotel in the WDW area and always get great deals for nice hotels.

If we are flying in, we'd probably get a value resort reservation for the night to make transporting our belongings easy. For one night, we wouldn't even need to really unpack which would make it easy to switch.
