Late arrival, checking room assignment/requests

Hi, we will be arriving at our Disney hotel late in the evening (approx 10pm). We are flying down from Canada and our flight only leaves at suppertime. Is there a way that we can check, prior to getting on the plane, what our room assignment is and if our requests have been granted? If so, any way to inquire about a possible room change if we deem it necessary or is that something we can only do in person at the front desk? thank you!

There have been reports of some guests being able to see their room assignment, once their room is ready, in their My Disney Experience account.

If so, any way to inquire about a possible room change if we deem it necessary or is that something we can only do in person at the front desk? thank you!

When you arrive, you'll have to go to the front desk anyway, to pick up your magic bands. That's why we never bother with online checkin...late arrival (less crowded front desk) and having to pick up our bands. Checking on our room requests is easily done while we're there.

Be aware that even if you get the room ready text/room number it's not 100% a done deal. In Dec. when I turned on my phone upon landing I had 3 room ready texts in a row (sent at different times) each w/ a different room number. In my case rooms 1 and 2 were obvious mistakes as room 1 was a regular room and I had a 1 br. villa booked and room 2 was not in the building I had booked.
