We are arriving this Wednesday (actually Thursday Morning) and staying at the ASMu (first time there). Anything I should expect (or not expect) with such a late arrival (I expect we probably won't set foot in the resort until after 1AM). I know we'll have to get our own luggage.

For an upcoming trip with DD, this will be us as well. Last year, my DD arrived in the room around 2am. I was checked in, but she had to stop at the desk to obtain her KTTW card. I don't think she encountered anything different from a typical daytime check in. The only thing I'm worried about, is the room location given to me that late. I like an option to choose a different room, if the first one is not to my liking.

Late at night check ins get the left over room locations for that day.

Do you have a standard or preferred room? If standard, then you need to be prepared to have a room far from check in in Country FAir.

If you booked preferred, then you'll be fine anyway.

:(

I wish my Travel Agent (AAA) would have told us that. When doing the pre-checkin or whatever it's called on the website they did ask for preferences, and I asked close to the bus, but I'm guessing that will be ignored? I think we also put a preference in our reservation. But I know it was for standard room.

That's not really accurate. All rooms are assigned 2-3 days before your arrival. They are not assigned at check-in.

Well, that's better news :)

Honestly, it's not a big deal for me. We will spend minimal amount of time in the room itself, and walking it good exercise. But, I guess if it rains, it might not be much fun to walk.

I was more concerned that check-in would be more of a hassle that late at night, but it seems like there's no issues. Last thing I want to do that late is have to deal with issues!
